At the dawn of time, the universe existed as an infinite abyss of night. The night united with the wind and laid a silver egg in the heart of this darkness. Eros hatched from this egg, as described by Aristophanes in his comedy "The Birds". While the stereotype of an angelic figure with wings and equipped with love arrows or simply the embodiment of human sexuality is known throughout the ages, Eros is much more than that, beyond worn-out romantic notions: Eros can influence and direct the thoughts and will of both mortal and divine beings. Eros stands for the radical vitality of immortal energy, the essence of life and the passionate, penetrating desire that always brings forth new life. Eros can be passionate and wild, reciprocated and rejected rejected, as love in its dual nature between pleasure and pain. A powerful force that is sought and feared. Is man at the mercy of the power of Eros?
