Inspired by Firestone's biography and these portraits written with "grim laconicity,"
choreographer and dancer Zufit Simon's solo traces the effects that political and private conflicts
can have on female corporeality. Economic and psychological-private oppression
are questioned and translated into the movement language of dance.

In 1970, at the age of 25, Shulamith Firestone published "The Dialectic of Sex: The Case for Feminist Revolution," which is still considered a fundamental feminist work. She frequently presented her radical theses on the connection between women's liberation and sexual revolution, thus becoming a best-selling author.
In her second and last book, Airless Spaces (1998), Firestone describes, in her own words, a whole cabinet of "losers," lonely representatives of the state of "social failure."
