Open Call for the "Think Tank" of the Munich Independent Scene at Südwind - 2nd Bavarian Theatertreffen for Young Audiences
To all Munich theater and dance professionals working in the field of children and youth:
The Südwindfestival 2023, which will take place in Munich, is not only a festival for children, young people and adults, it is also intended to serve as a forum for exchange and training for theater professionals.
We would like to invite all independent Munich theater professionals working in the field of children and youth to participate in the festival in order to exchange ideas with each other and with the invited theaters/groups - even if you do not play at the festival yourself.
Together with the Theater- and Tanzbüro and the Cultural Department of the City of Munich, we offer ten Munich theater professionals their own program: As a "think tank" of the independent children's and youth theater/dance scene, you will participate in the festival for three and a half days. You will see 6 performances, discuss them together, take part in the supporting program and share your impressions of the festival with your colleagues from the scene at a closing breakfast. You will be accompanied by Julia Dina Heße (freelance dramaturg and director and member of the ASSITEJ board), who is responsible for the debriefings and the closing format. The think tank will take place for three and a half days in the period July 5-9, 2023 (starting early evening on July 5 at the earliest, ending no later than noon on Sun, July 9). The specific schedule will be announced in April 23.
What can you expect as participants in the think tank?
Continuous festival participation over three and a half days (in the period 5-9.7.2023).
Attendance at all specified plays during the specified time period
Active participation in post-play discussions

The ten participants in the think tank will receive 750 euros for their obligatory participation in the three and a half days and free admission to the performances. Please send us the application documents: CV, letter of motivation, artistic question to suedwind23@muenchen.de by March 15, 2023. The selection will take place at the end of March 2023.
