The search to break open and further develop choreographic patterns with different formats, to think differently about the "classical" space of the theatre and the role of the spectator have characterised my artistic activity for several years.
The questioning of often only partial perception and fragmentary habits of seeing, as well as the resulting body language, always in relation to viral themes in society, let me research the concept of social choreography and implement new insights in my work. In doing so, I give special focus to the approach to space and architecture, as well as to the observation of everyday situations and everyday gestures. Conscious and unconscious stagings of postures and gestures that have communicative functions and an inherent performative energy attract my scenically and photographically trained gaze. In doing so, I explore the intermediate traces of laid-out and compositionally processed thoughts and materials, which are partly installative and partly performative.
My artistic work for stage, alternative venues and public spaces is dedicated to the encounter with curious spectators, random passers-by or the individual guest. This encounter is direct or indirect, designed as an invitation. In my productions I try to question the "classical role" of the audience, to break the boundaries between stage and auditorium and to create different atmospheres by combining different elements. I understand the presence of the audience as part of the choreography, which directly connects with the work and ultimately makes it a "whole".
