Video editing for performing artists

This workshop is tailored to artists that want to learn more about editing their performance videos and create trailers, reels and other content for the digital platforms. You will learn how to edit trailers, (dance) films and your performances with the professional software adobe premier. There will be time to get feedback on your editing and ask as many questions as you have.


To participate, we ask that you bring your own laptop and footage.


Yasmin Schönmann is a dancer, choreographer and digital artist from Germany with a Diploma in Contemporary Dance from Iwanson International Munich and a Master of Fine Arts in Dance and Technology from New York University. After finishing her diploma, Yasmin became interested in portraying dance through the lens of a camera. Feeling like she wanted to acquire more knowledge herself to help her communicate her creative vision, Yasmin started a Master´s degree focused on Dance & Technology. Since then she has developed many dance films, VR experiences, motion capture pieces, digital dance experiences and taught her knowledge about filming dance to others. She is passionate about empowering the art community through passing on her knowledge, so that anyone can show their art online. Her dance films and stage pieces have been presented at numerous venues in New York, the InHale Series in Philadelphia, the Bebop Channel dance film festival New York, The Opine dance film Festival, at the Festival Chorégrafique International Blois in France, Holzmarkt Berlin, and at iCamp, Tanztendenz München e.V., Kranhalle and Einstein Kultur in Munich.
