With Lene Bang

”It starts with a conversation” is an online publication of a guide written jointly by creative producers Ása Richardsdóttir and Lene Bang Henningsen. The guide is initially written for the Nordic contemporary dance community and aimed towards artists and producers who wish to work collaboratively and internationally.

The authors developed the guide through a conversation between them. It is practical and interactive, offering the reader various tools to use in professional development as well as thought-provoking and process-oriented reflections on the multiple stages in the artist ́s and producer ́s career. The guide was initially commisioned by ICE HOT Nordic Dance Platform, and authors and partners hope this guide will be shared widely in our dance community and beyond. At this occasion, one of the co-writers Lene Bang will host a workshop targeted at emerging artist and producers, to cultivate a conversation which can inspire next steps in the developing work.

Lene Bang is a creative producer and mentor exploring the world – with a focus on empowering collaboration. Today Lene Bang Henningsen is working from the platform Lene Bang Org. based in Denmark. Her passion and curiosity have led to various long-term partnerships and development projects. Her commitment and work have even led to ISPA fellowship 2015 – 2017 to further her leadership. Lene Bang is currently developing projects with Nordic artist Jon R. Skulberg, Stian Danielsen and Bjørn Säfsten and is one of four founding members of the international research project C.A.M.P – creative agent manager-producer.
