About Us
We are the Tanzbüro München!
By connecting ideas and resources and through cultural policy work, we aim to contribute to a sustainable improvement of production conditions for contemporary dance in Munich and to greater visibility in national and international contexts

OUR HISTORY
In 2014, dance professionals Simone Schulte-Aladag, Tina Meß and Miria Wurm founded Tanzbüro to help improve the independent dance scene. In addition to our own projects, such as our exchange format Meeting Points or the campaign for the visibility of the Munich dance scene 7 thoughts about dance, our main focus is on further education opportunities and information gathering for dance professionals. At the heart of this are the workshops we run together with the Theaterbüro, which bundle information and provide tools and methods for artistic work.
OUR TEAM

Simone Schulte-Aladağ
Simone Schulte-Aladağ studied theatre studies, political science, and German studies in Düsseldorf and Munich (Magister Artium, Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München). In 2010, she completed additional training in theatre and music management at LMU Munich. From 1994 to 2006, she worked as a dramaturge and production manager for festivals, theatre artists, and film productions in Munich, New York, and Vienna. Since 2006, she has been a co-founder of FOKUS TANZ, where she has been primarily responsible for artistic development and project management. (Tanzplan München, explore dance network). She is co-curator of THINK BIG!, the international biennial festival for young audiences that she initiated together with Bettina Wagner-Bergelt and that has been presented by FOKUS TANZ in cooperation with Schauburg since 2018. She serves on advisory boards and juries, including for Dachverband Tanz and the Munich Department of Culture. Together with her colleagues Tina Meß and Miria Wurm, she founded Tanzbüro München in 2014, a team funded by the Munich Department of Culture that supports networking and provides advice for freelance dance artists.

Tina Meß
Tina Meß studied theater studies, communication studies, and art history at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich. From 2003 to 2020, she worked as a dramaturg, production manager, and tour manager for artists in Munich’s independent dance scene (including Stefan Dreher, Monica Gomis, Stephanie Felber, and Ceren Oran) as well as for festivals such as Think Big!, DANCE, and RODEO. Since 2015, she has co-directed Tanzbüro München with Simone Schulte-Aladag. She is currently working on her doctoral dissertation in dance studies (LMU Munich). Findings from her research were incorporated, among other things, into the symposium Performing the Other/Self, which she conceived and organized and which took place in January 2023 at the Muffatwerk.

Nike Schwederski
Nike Schwederski discovered her passion for theatre while studying education for the deaf at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München. Since 2019, she has worked on festivals such as SPIELART, RODEO, go drag!, and the Münchner Biennale, and has also been involved in various projects in the independent scene as a production assistant. In October 2024, she began studying cultural and music management at the University of Music and Theatre Munich, and in summer 2024 she joined the Tanzbüro team.
