Cristina D'Alberto

Cristina's career as a dancer starts with ballet in her hometown (Turin) and consolidates after graduating from the Princess Grace Dance Academy in Montecarlo in 2005. Two years later Cristina moves to Florence where she starts her professional training in contemporary dance at Opus Ballet. Between 2009 and 2011 she dances for Opus Ballet Company, working with international choreographers such as German Jauregui, Peter Mika and Loris Petrillo. In the meantime, she also collaborates in two productions with the theater group Centrale Produzioni. Since 2010 and for the next five years, she has been touring with the TPO in the United States, China, Mexico, Bahrain, France and Spain. The Florentine cultural program Notti fiorentine presents her first two choreographic works: E=mc2 (2011) and Storie con-divise (2012). In 2013 she participates in the Italian-Tunisian theater project "Nostoi", directed by Michael Marmarinos and funded by the European Commission. In the same year she joins the Gabriellasecchi Company for the production "RI-conoscere", performed during the festival "Ballo pubblico" (Siena). In 2014 Cristina dances at the Biennale College Danza (Venice) in "À demain" by Anton Lacky. In 2016, directed by Johannes Härtl, she can be seen in the two productions "Super Heroes" and "Blood lines", premiered in Munich. In the same year she performs in two experimental improvisation productions that bring together photographers, dancers, musicians and writers: "I am a real life" and "For, To, Step, Next". She is co-founder of the project Darkrocksflying with choreographer Ryan Mason, with whom she produced, created and performed the piece "Through the windshield" at the Black-Box Gasteig and later at the Schweren Reiter during the festival Hier=Jetzt! In 2017 she comes to the Bavarian State Opera for two productions: "Tannhäuser" directed by Romeo Castellucci and with choreographer Cindy Van Acker and "Die Gezeichneten" directed by Krzysztof Warlikowski and choreographer Claude Bardouil.

In 2015 she is one of the co-founders of the collective FIKA contemporanea danza.

In 2018 she works as assistant choreographer with Matteo Carvone for the production "Faust", produced and premiered by the Philarmonie am Gasteig in Munich. In the same year she choreographed the piece "Romeo and Juliet forever and ever" directed by Caitlin van der Mass.

At the Munich Centre of Community Art (MUCCA) she premiered her own production "somewhere / shared", funded by the Cultural Department of the City of Munich.

In 2019 Cristina D'Alberto assisted Israeli choreographer Yael Cibulski in the development of the solo "Genesis" and developed the choreography for the stage project "Bruder Gier" directed by Ulf Görke. In October 2020, Cristina premiered her choreographic work Anthology / Blütenlese at the Schwere-Reiter Munich.

In September 2021 Cristina presented in Munich her latest performance "Arcadia. An exploration of idyll and concrete."

Cristina also teaches contemporary dance and has long collaborated with Iwanson International School, DancePat Munich, Profittraining Leipizig, Profitraining Freiburg B12, Sharing Training Turin and Sharing Training Florence.
