Workspace Dramaturgy Dance & Performance

Labor Ateliers | Dachauer Str. 112d, 80797 München, Deutschland

The joint workspace dramaturgy dance & performance invites participants to exchange ideas about their individual dramaturgical practice in contemporary dance and performance and to expand their own approaches. How can a dramaturgical practice look like that does justice to different constellations of teamwork and complex content-related challenges? One of many questions that will be discussed in the pilot project.

The workshop is aimed at dramaturges and outside eyes who take on an independent dramaturgical position in projects.

Artistic approaches to dramaturgy are examined in various formats: Project development from the first idea to the follow-up, dramaturgy as a dynamic position in the overall structure of a project, the positioning of dramaturgical work in terms of collaboration with others in the team. On the one hand, it is about describing work areas, tasks, responsibility and competence as well as the specific challenges of dramaturgical work. On the other hand, there should be a concrete exchange about the daily individual practice, special working approaches, ideas, insights, tips and tricks.

The Workspace dramaturgy dance & performance is a platform moderated by the dramaturges Daniel Rademacher and Matthias Quabbe with impulses from their own experience. The goal is to create a collection of tools that includes different perspectives, with which each can continue to work independently and align it to their own practice.
